Probably the last time we will ever see Victoria Beckham clutching a microphone (except for in-store appearances when next promoting her eponymous fashion range) and prancing around in Spice Girl mode, but boy was it worth it.
The 38-year-old mother of four brushed off her favourite Manolo Blahniks, poured herself into a custom-made gown by London Fashion Week designer Giles Deacon and held on tight for what was arguably the performance of her life in the Olympic Arena.
Although Beckham showed signs of being nervous (and heck, wouldn't we be if we were standing atop a moving black cab) she seemed to have enjoyed herself, tweeting a photo with her band mates captioned: "We did it!! I love u girls so much vb" after the performance. Shortly after she took to the social networking site again to post: "I was a pop star for the night!! I love u 
But it wasn't all singing and dancing for VB: one of the highlights of her evening must have been seeing Georgia May Jagger take to the stage in one of her creations during the supermodel extravaganza. The gold minidress features in this month's British Vogue and was created especially for Jagger to wear for the ceremony. Beckham tweeted thank-you's to the project's stylist Lucinda Chambers and photographer Nick Knight, saying Jagger "looked amazing."
